Our one year wedding anniversary was two days ago!! Time flies when things are good. We've made a small photo collection of our past year which can be downloaded from the pictures page. We're expecting a child around July 15th this year.. very exciting indeed!

The date for the wedding party in Beijing has been set one month from now, on August 12. The agenda has also been set already, please visit the agenda page for more information. Dress code is: dress for a wedding!! Please bring your digital camera and make many photos and send them to us afterwards. You may bring a red envelope if you believe we are worth it ;) All friends from the Netherlands are welcome to be there, please send us an email to sign up!

The wedding was wonderful, and we were very glad to have so many close friends and relatives there. Some of you may have noticed Dimitri was quite nervous to make sure things went smoothly, but thank God everything turned out very well, it was exactly the wedding that we had envisioned. So many people contributed to making it a huge success, we could not hope for better friends in our joint life to come. Not to mention the excellent weather!!
Thank you also for your very generous 'red enveloping'! We are planning to invest the money into our new apartment in Beijing, which is still in need of more furniture. Also many thanks to those who sent us their digital pictures, after working through about 800 photos we have selected the best 200 or so, and out of these we have selected the best 50 or so for the photo PPT, which can be downloaded here and now. About 10 of the very best pictures can also be viewed enlarged in our new apartment in Beijing, you are all welcome to come and have a look at those pictures :)
The honeymoon was a great success too. Some of the highlights included lucking out on our car rental, driving along small roads on the North coast of Spain, staying in a great natural park in Portugal, visiting some amazing historical sites, some great campsites, visiting Porto, cooking and eating outside every day, and watching Portugal win a world cup quarter final against England in a tavern in a medieval hilltop fortress. Photo's will be available in a separate PPT soon.
