ABOUT JULY (Zhu Hongyang)

July grew up in a town in the forests of North-East China, several hundreds of kilometeres North of Harbin, next to the Russian border. The temperatures are below zero there for over six months every year!

She is the youngest of three girls, cute and naughty, smart and beautiful, and very proud. At the time her mother became pregnant of her, the one-child policy was just in effect, and her parents were each fined about four months of wages and were downgraded one payscale each, just to have her.

She always looked very different from other kids, with large eyes, white skin and a big nose and was often mistaken for a foreigner. At one time, her mother curled her hair which made her look even more like a little foreigner.

She graduated in broadcasting from Harbin Normal University and worked her way up through Harbin TV, Beijing TV to CCTV. During her studies, she was known for her beauty and often acted as a model for photoshoots or events.

She is currently working as deputy director of sales for China Real Estate Business, a national weekly newspaper. Her boss is very happy with her there, but July is considering switching to a job with a more international character.
